Introduction
Sand pumps are cantilevered, horizontal, centrifugal slurry pumps which do heavy duty. They are designed for transferring the highly abrasive or corrosive slurry, high density slurry; they are popular in the metallurgical, mining, coal, power station, sea water river water & channel dredging, building material and other industrial departments. The wet parts of slurry pump is made of high chromium alloy, or abrasive rubber so they are suitable for the liquid with solid, and with acid or alkali, this make the slurry pump powerful and widely used. The pumps of this type can be driven by Electrical motor or by diesel engine or by hydraulic power. The discharge of pump can be in eight positions to suit installations and applications. The shaft seals can be adoptable of gland seal or expeller seal, or mechanical seal.
Pump cover for pressure parts, use nodular cast iron; Impeller and volute, guard board, pump body as high hardness, wear resistance cast steel. Connection parts adopt bolt or screw connection, for rubber seal "O" type circle
Impeller
The impeller generally has three vanes or five vanes and wide application range. It is made of wear-resistant high chromium alloy cast iron (hardness>58HRC, impact toughness>9j/cm2). The impeller is fixed on the pump shaft with double thread, and the thread tolerances are inspeed according to the pitch diameter of thread. Disassembly rings are installed at the rear of the shaft sleeve to make maintenance easy.
Pump casing
The pump casing is made of wear-resistant and compression-resistant alloy (hardness>56HRC, impact toughness>8 j/cm2). Advanced smelting guarantees smooth easting surfaces and reliable internal quality.
The bulge test will be carried out after molding, and the test pressure is 2 times of the discharge pressure of the pump. If there is no leakage after 20 minutes, strength and tightness pressure test reports can be issued.
Liner plate
The liner plates are made of wear-resistant high chromium alloy cast iron (hardness > 56HRC, impact toughness>8 j/cm2).
Materials
High chrome alloy: A05, A07, A49, etc.
Natural rubber: R08, R26, R33, , etc.
Other material as per requests, like stainless steel, duplex stainless steel, Nickle alloy, Alloy 20, etc.
